Baby Fairy Flora - Baby TP Mini Album

An update from the 10/07/2013 - This project was chosen in the TOP3 @ The Crazy Challenge

Hello my dear!

Yesterday I came across an easy and wonderful tutorial on making mini album from toilet paper rolls. I was so inspired that just on the spot created a mini and I'm sharing it with you today. I can't describe how much fun I had making it. Easy, quick and cute!

I decided to use Mo Manning digi "Baby Fairy Flora".
The album has a magnetic closure. I've placed a little heart under the flap, and covered it with dry "clear rock candy" glitter:

There're two eyelets on the flap with a tied ribbon  & a plastic pacifier charm on it:

The mini's dimensions are as follows:
Length - 5".
Height- 3 1/4 "
Width - 1 3/4"

It has 6 pages. I decided not to embellish them at all (they are small and I wanted to leave enough space for the pictures). Each page has a tag inside. I thought  it would be nice to take a picture of the baby each month during it's first year and add to the album, so 6 pages should work just right :)

Here's the side view of it:

And here's how the pages look inside (including the tags):

The front and the back:

That's it. I really hope you like this mini as much as I do, and maybe I've inspired you to make one of your own :))

I want to enter this mini into these challenges:
1. Anything but the card @ Crazy Challenge
2. Tags @ Let's Create
3. Show us Texture @ Nut Crafters (I used dry glitter on the heart, on the die-cut corners and on the doily frame)
4. Anything Goes @ Sister Act
5. Anything Goes @ Crafting by Designs

U[date from the 03/07/2013 - this card was chosen in TOP3 @ Creative Inspiration Blog.

Hello dear friends!

For the last couple of days my creative mojo was a bit down. I suppose you can't be on the wave of creativity all the time, and that's ok.

Today I've made a card using one of the latest Mo Manning digital stamps from the online shop - Mollie. She's just adorable & I enjoyed coloring her a lot!

I embellished the card with the air-dry clay elements, which I made using Martha Stewart "Garden" silicon molds. I also used several chipboard branches and covered them with Tim Holtz Antique Linen crackle paint, Stampendous AGED IVORY embossing enamel and Crackle Accents:

There are several layers of paper and die-cuts on this card and it's pretty chunky :)

More details:

I used Glossy Accents on the newspaper, to pop it out a little:

Baby Card - "In the Bath" and a Mini Album

Update from the 29/06/2013 - this card was in TOP3 "Use Something Metal" Challenge.

Hello everybody!

In today's post I have to finished works to share - a card and a mini album.

Let's start with the card "For A Baby". I used a digital stamp by Mo's Digital Pencil - "In the Bath". The papers are from 6X6 Bo Bunny pad "Prairie Chic Collection".

When you don't know whether you are making a card for a boy or a girl. which color should you chose? :) I chose both blue and pink.
The top tag may be completely taken out and a personal sentiment may be written on it, there's plenty of space:

For coloring I used the following Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E18, E15, E13, E11
Bath: N3, N2, N1, N0
Bubbles: B02, B000, B0000
Bear: R85, R83, R81, R0000
Towel + Soap: W5, W3, W1

The inside:

The scalloped tag may be pulled out of its pocket:

The back:

I'm entering the card into these challnges:
1. Use something metal @ The Squirrel and the Fox
2. Make it sparkle @ Paper Creator's Crafts
3. Tags @ Robyn's Fetish
4. Anything Goes @ There she goes
5. MIM 145 @ Make it Monday
6. One for the kids @ The Cutie Pie
7. Anything Goes @ Pollycraft Challenge

And now to the mini album. Actually I made it inspired by the series of tutorials by Xannero1. Here's the first part of the series called "How to make a mini album from start to finish". Though the binding is made different in my mini and I like it more this way. It seems to me less vulnerable.

The decoration of the album is very simple, only folded pages with patterened papers, acetate pockets, tags of different sizes, and several punched elements:

For the spine I made this cute and simple decoration:

From the sides the album looks like this:

It's impossible to show all the pages in the mini, there are 6 of them and each one has lots of folds and flaps, so I chose a couple of them to share:

I must say it's a great pleasure making mini albums, though it's very time- and paper- consuming :)

That will be it for today! :)

I'm glad and thankful that you are visiting my blog! See you soon!
